We are staring the list with the smartphones leading manufacturer in India, Xiaomi. Xiaomi has launched a new colour variant for its new device MiA1 smartphone in India with amazing specifications of 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. The Xiaomi MiA1 has the features of a metal body rounded with edges. Under the hood of these features, there is 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU, Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, with an inbuilt storage of 64GB that can be expanded using a microSD card. Considering the camera, it has got a 12MP wide angle and a 12MP telephoto lens with an improved bokeh effect in portrait shots.

The Xiaomi MiA1 has can support 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, hybrid SIM card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack. Bluetooth and GPS, backed by a 1080mAh battery. It comes with a fingerprint sensor.

With all these specifications, Xiaomi MiA1 is priced at Rs. 12,999 available on the online vendors like Flipkart and Amazon.

If I have to choose one mobile that has been continuously beating its competitors from many years is Redmi Note 4 without any doubt. It was considered the best of the smartphones at the time of its release. The features provided still play a vital role in making it stand till date.

The device hands on can be accessed continuously for 15 hours and ten minutes as per the popular tests on Redmi Note 4. With the cameras performing decently, Redmi Note 4 also retains the IR blaster from its predecessor, with which you can continue controlling the appliances in the devices in the phone with Mi Remote app. If there is anything that pulls the excitement back, it is the high number of apps preloaded, and lack of the fast charging the support. Lenovo Z2 Plus is the next phone in our list of Best 4G mobiles under 15,000. The Lenovo Z2 Plus with a price cut recently and is now one of the most affordable phones in this category. This is the only phone with the high-end Snapdragon 820 chip in the list, the Z2 Plus is also a reasonably-sized thanks to its 5-inch screen. It has got a fingerprint sensor in the screen that can double up as a touchpad of all sorts, by with the gestures to juggle between the many apps available in the phone.

Lenovo Z2 Plus has got the User Interface with stock-Android-like feel, backed by a 3500mAh battery; it can be run the entire day.

The fingerprint sensor in the Moto G4 Plus on the front is quick and 32GB storage is quite reasonable. It bundled 25W TurboPower charger is also on the top notch to the phone with juice pretty fast. These are all the reasons to make it keep in our list for the best phones under 15,000.

Honor 7X

Honor is the only online brand from Huawei. The Phone was launched two weeks back offering in the mid-tier range with the price starting at Rs 12,999. This is the successor to the Honor 6X. Honor 7X comes with a metal body, a dual camera setup on the rear and all the fair powerful specifications for the price. Most importantly, the Honor 7X embraces the bezel-less display with permeated devices with a display ratio of 18:9 displays. Huawei claims the minimal bezels up front allow them to a fit 5.9-inch display into what is 5.5-inch actually.

The smartphone is powered by a 4GB of RAM and a 3340mAh battery with which the company claims the phone can sustain for a good 12 hours of video playback and 91 hours of music playback. Also, it is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset. And, there is a 32GB or 64GB of storage on board depending on the variant that can be expanded via a microSD card (or up to 256GB).

Runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with Huawei’s custom EMUI5.1 skin on the top. Though it is not known right now, the device would probably get an update of Android 8.0 Oreo. Available exclusively on Amazon India in three colour options – Gold, Black and Blue. The device 64GB is available for Rs. 15,999.

We have listed 5 mobile phones so far, but this is not it. Here are a few more picks to consider in these segment phones 15,000. Asus ZeoFone Max (2106) is one such phone to consider with amazing battery life. Xiaomi Mi Max has got excellent ratings. But, it has been out of stock for a while now and there is no official indication from the company whether it is coming back or not. It has got a good grant-sized 6.44-inch display.

There are a couple of other phones we like, but they couldn’t make it into the list because of their reviews. InFocusEpic1 is such a device. The other phones that are worthy in the list are Galaxy J7(2016), Samsung Galaxy On8, and ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini that looks good on paper but we haven’t reviewed it yet.
